Hi, I’m Lana – the creator of the AirCozi Travel Nest and a mum who knows all too well how daunting traveling with a baby can be.
Before becoming a mother, travel was a huge part of my life. Over 100 flights, countless destinations, and a love for exploring the world defined my "pre-mum" era. But as so many parents will tell you, life takes on a whole new meaning after you have a child.
When my daughter was born, I embraced the countless joys of motherhood – but I wasn’t ready to give up on my love for travel. However, my first flight with my baby girl was an eye-opener. Like many mums with postpartum anxiety, I had a million worries racing through my mind:
- Will my baby cry the whole flight?
- How can I help her with ear pressure?
- What do I pack for a smooth journey?
- And, most importantly, how will she sleep on the plane?
Our first flight together wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t ideal either. Holding her in my arms for the entire trip was exhausting and uncomfortable for both of us. Without a bassinet or an extra seat, I was constantly adjusting to keep her safe and settled, all while wishing there was an easier way to make travelling with a baby less stressful.
Determined to find a solution before our next trip, I started researching. But every product I found was either impractical, bulky, not airline-approved, or simply didn’t meet our needs. So, I set out to make something better – improving on what was already out there to create a solution that truly worked for parents and babies alike.
After countless prototypes, real-world testing, and more flights with my daughter, the AirCozi Travel Nest was born – right here in Australia.
